In 2007 or so Geneviève made these songs via mail correspondence and cassette idea sketches, fictional character studies in the form of dramatic ballads. The Watery Graves of Portland was an instrumental band, piano/bass/drums, Curtis/Adrian/Davis. Something special and extra powerful emerged when Geneviève sang these songs with them. It is a favorite.
The record was originally released by Marriage Records in 2008 but has been out of print for a while. This new version has the nice heavy tip on jackets with the artwork polished up and printed beautifully. Plus a lyric sheet in french.
